Buddy Time
First we viewed a wide variety of unique and well crafted hats. We experimented with paper to see if we could twist, roll, plait and.... Then we sat down with our buddies and began to plan the creation of our own unique paper hat. Here our some of our hats either as a work in progress or the final product.

Printing
I like the way your letters are sitting on the line Corbin. Well done.
Renee and Eviana can make their letters sit on the line, they can leave nice even spaces and they can make their letters the right size. Now they are learning to do all of these things at the same time. Wow! This is such a challenging goal.
Korbyn your letters sit so nicely on the line so off you go with a new goal. Look at those lovely even spaces. Well done Korbyn.
There's a Dragon in Room 6
Discovery
The children had a fantastic time exploring, creating and pretending during Discovery. Making sherbet and the bags to put the sherbet in was a popular learning choice. There was lots of discussion and some very interesting facial expressions as the children tried the sherbet. The blocks created lots of building opportunities and the birds will be well looked after with all the bird seed feeders we created.

Our Shape Pictures
We had turns at putting our hand in the freely bag. We weren't allowed to look but we could feel the shape inside and describe it by using our words. We used the words curved or straight to describe the sides. It was tricky to feel the shape and count the sides and corners for the rest of the class to guess the secret shape. Sometimes the sides were all the same length and sometimes there were long and short sides. If we described the shape well the rest of the class could guess what the shape was. After that we had fun using the shapes to make pictures.
