Fairytale Forensics
At the Windsor School Criminal Science Lab the Room 4 children were solving the mystery of the missing porridge. Goldilocks did not like porridge and her mother was sure she had not stolen the porridge. There were four other children in the forest that day. Which one of them had gone into the bears house and stolen the porridge?
The Clues...
A footprint on the carpet.
Leaves, mud and sand left behind from the shoe.
A drink had been spilt. It left an orange sticky mess.
There was a note from the thief to say I'm sorry.
An acidic handprint left on the wall.
We found the shoes that left the footprint.
We tested the children's drinks to see whose would leave an orange sticky mess. It was Lucy's Raro not the milk, the milo or the milkshake.
The sorry note matched Lucy's distinctive handwriting and it was written using her pen.
The acidic handprint could only have been made by Lucy the Raro drinker. The other drinks did not turn red when we added cabbage water. They were not acids.
